Pancakes without Milk

Learn how to make fluffy and delicious pancakes without milk!
Prep Time 5 mins
Cook Time 20 mins
Servings 8 pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine your dry ingredients: flour and baking powder.
  • In a separate bowl combine your wet ingredients and then combine them together with the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until combined, but do not overmix. Some lumps are okay in the pancake batter.
  • Once you've mixed the batter, heat your frying pan up over medium-high heat.
  • Spray the pan with nonstick spray if you want to use it. Otherwise you can use dairy free melted butter if avoiding dairy, or just a tad bit of oil. You just need a little something so the pancakes don't stick to the hot griddle.
  • Cook your pancakes for around 2-3 minutes on one side. This will vary depending on the size of your pancakes. Once the bubbles in the pancakes start to pop, it's usually time to flip the pancakes. Again, watch your pancakes as they cook because it will vary how long your pancakes take.
  • Flip the pancakes and cook on the other side until they're golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve and enjoy.
